Worry

Worry is something we struggle with everyday! Can you imagine what the world would look like if people didn’t worry? The only way for that to happen was if there wasn’t anything to worry about! That would be Heaven. There is absolutely things on this planet that we have a right to worry about. Jobs, Kids, Health, Repairs, Money, and so much more but I’m sure as I’m saying this you are already thinking “great now I have to worry about money”. I didn’t think about “that” worry till you brought it up. I apologize if that’s you. However, we understand that worry exists. It’s there. So what is the ROOT cause of worry? Worry comes from being overwhelmed. Too much to handle for a mere human. We get tired from thinking too hard, too much, and working too hard, too much. We try to get everything, every moment in our life to line up the exact way that we want it to. But it doesn’t, more often than not. We want this job, we get no job. We want a new car, we lose our job. We love our new car, it ...

Ready?

Being ready for anything takes hard work! Just trying to go anywhere, we always lose or forget those essentials. The wallet. The keys. The phone. Truth be told, sometimes we even forget to bring family members with us,(like our children). When we get ready, we must be Prepared Ahead Of Time. We must schedule when we are leaving to go somewhere. We must get dressed for whatever the occasion is. We must have all essentials in a known location before leaving. Lastly, if we are bringing a family member with us to a certain place, then we must notify them when we are leaving so they too can get prepared. Now where am I going with this, you may ask? Well here it is. Basically, the main idea is that the preparing we do when leaving our houses, we should also do to be READY for Jesus’ arrival. Now here’s the Christian twist on that. “He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬ GOOD NEWS! Jesus is comi...

Dedicated

Being dedicated to Christ. It’s a commitment to Christ for life. To tell you the truth, this blog topic crushes many hopes of people who are this close to wanting to be a Christian. Everybody wants to be a Christian for the blessings that you receive but very few will stay wanting to be a Christian when the whole world is on the opposite side of them. Sadly, there are even Christians today that say they are following Christ but live in the opposite direction. It’s very hard. It’s extremely difficult to choose something in your life in which many others will not choose with you. Picture this. You are with a group of friends in a forest, about 4 to 5 friends are with you. There’s two paths that you can take to hike, but you can’t choose them both, you have to pick a side. Let’s say 3 of your 5 friends choose the path to the left. It’s a wide path. You look down it and you see a lot of people outside of your friend group are taking that path. “Well since it’s a popular path, it must mean ...

Perception

This is one of the toughest topics to cover in today’s culture. There are so many woman and men today, that will do something they regret based off either their perception of themselves, their perception of others, or others perception of them. I too am guilty of this. It’s so hard. Were you aware that the only time we can view ourselves is through either a reflection or a camera? Which makes me think about biblical times. They definitely didn’t have phones back then and only the wealthy could acquire expensive mirrors like we have today. So what did the ladies in biblical times use to test if they looked beautiful enough? What did the men in biblical times use to see if they looked fit enough? So It turns out that they used the reflection coming off the water to view themselves the way we view ourselves. Now it makes even more sense why God says he is our living water. Only through God can we see ourselves clearly. That’s all they had to depend on. That’s all they needed. That’s all w...

Refreshment

In the Bible, this word means to restore the strength of the soul. Now what in the world does that mean? This is going to be a very difficult concept to understand, I know this because it was for me as well. So to restore the strength of the soul, you seek a “refreshment”, hopefully it’s Jesus Christ the “living water”. However, some people think you can only seek Jesus Christ through acts of worship such as singing to him, praying, or reading the Bible. Fortunately, there are a lot more than those. Due to our bodies being a temple, just by keeping our bodies healthy, we are dipping into the “ Refreshment ” God provides us. Like I said before, I struggled hard with this concept. I keep the verse “…For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45, in my mind at all times. Just recently, I realized I misinterpreted this verse. I am a giver at heart, and being a Christian we are always told to elevate others above...

Entitled

What does it mean to feel entitled, you may ask? Well, “ entitled” means believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. To put in simpler terms, the feeling of being inclined to rewards due to your individual efforts or just because of who you are as a person. Just the other day, I caught the feeling of “ entitlement” in plain sight . On Thursday night, I was studying for 3 tests, and trying to get all caught up before Friday morning. The problem with this was, the more I completed, the more I found other things that were due that I didn’t complete yet. I was there sitting on the couch trying to get through all my schoolwork and I just couldn’t keep my eyes open long enough to do so. Eventually, I get a little jealous. My mom already announced that she was going to bed and my dad was staying up to watch his favorite TV shows. I was doing neither of those things. Not to mention, I had unfinished chores that I was expected to not put off till last minut...

Play-call

For those of you not familiar with sports terms, let me break this down. A Play-call is the term for a plan within a sports game given from the coach to the players on a team. You might know where I’m going with this now. This term could easily relate back to God. The Christian Play-call is the term for an action that God gives a Christian to carry out to glorify his name. Now the way I see it there’s 2 choices on the playing field. You can agree with the play-call and get back in the game or you can argue with the coach on the sidelines. Therefore, we can agree with God’s plan for our life or we can wrestle with him about it and not achieve all God has for us in this life. God is our Coach. Life is the game. The devil is the opponent. The Sidelines are where the devil wants you to be. See, if your sitting on the bench not in the game, the coach can’t use you till your ready to be used. When your on the bench, the devil can say “I don’t have to worry about that one they aren’t activ...
